I’m inclined to photograph in a simple and straightforward
manner. I enjoy capturing the small, but beautiful elements
offered up by the north woods country in which I live. Of
course, I’m always on guard for that unusual moment or
detail. The equipment I use isn’t fancy – an old Minolta SLR,
a 50mm lens, and a combination of three close-up rings.
Sometimes a good eye and a bit of luck produce an image
more closely resembling a painting than a photograph.
That’s the real kick for me.
